Rebecca
Lee Perlow, D.O. (What
is a D.O.?)
Dr. Perlow is a native Californian born and raised
in the San Fernando Valley. In 1982 she earned a degree
in Nursing from Los Angeles County/USC School of Nursing.
She practiced in her field working at Providence Tarzana Medical Center in Labor and Delivery from 1982 to 1987; she
continued her education earning her a degree from California
State University, Northridge Bachelor of Arts, in Cellular
and Molecular Biology. She knew in her heart that she
was meant to further her medical career and decided
in 1989 to enter Medical School at the Western University
of Health Sciences and graduated in 1993 Doctor
of Osteopathic Medicine at the top of her class
winning awards in leadership in the field of obstetrics
and gynecology and in the field of women’s health
care. She received her certification from the Diplomate
National Board of Medical Examiners in 1994. She became
Board Certified in Obstetrics & Gynecology in 2000
through the American College of Obstetrics & Gynecology.
Dr. Perlow is Vice Chief of Obstetrics & Gynecology at Providence Tarzana Medical Center and Encino Surgical Center. She is a Fellow-American
College of Obstetrics & Gynecology, Fellow-Los Angeles
Obstetrics and Gynecology Society, Osteopathic Surgeons
of California (OPSC), American Society for Colposcopy
and Cervical Pathology (ASCCP), American Medical Association
and California Medical Association, American Association of
Gynecological Laparoscopists.
She has been filmed by “Baby Story” on
TLC in 1998 and 2001.
Dr. Perlow is married to Dr. Dennis Perlow and they
have a son. In her private time, she enjoys spending
time with her family, hiking, camping, traveling and
continuing her medical education.
